WDG | Architects Engineers
When the Wink Design Group dissolved, some of its members formed a new company with a focus on architecture and engineering; however, due to legal issues, they were unable to retain the original company’s name. Casually referring to the new WDG, the group elected to use this as their new moniker.
This decision presented the design task: a logo for a company whose name looks like an acronym, yet has no intrinsic meaning. The resulting logo is a playful arrangement that treats the individual letters as form and not as name, creating an implied sense of reading order.
Reflective of the transparent nature of the new mark, a sturdy acrylic sign adorns blond wood panelling. Additional pieces for this client included letterhead, business cards, envelopes, and mailing labels.
