Growing Home

Growing Home New Orleans is an initiative to green the Greater New Orleans. Residents with blighted lots adjacent to their homes are encouraged to purchase them and are given incentives to landscape the properties, thus reviving neighborhoods that often look less than inviting.

The website is comprehensive, detailing model gardens and resources; however, the key element was to communicate as much as possible through the printed brochure since many of the participants do not have access to the website. Everyone eligible for this program now receives the brochure in an information packet from the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority.
