William Charles Cole Claiborne Building
In 2002, the State of Louisiana added a million-square foot office building and conference center to its Capital Complex in Baton Rouge, all reflecting the art deco character of the main capital building. Holly & Smith Architects invited Zande+Newman to design a pair of cabinets housing a building directory and an interpretive history of William Claiborne, Governor during the Louisiana purchase. Additionally, we produced content and graphics for an interactive touch screen that guides visitors, as well as a three-minute video educating them about the state’s earliest days.
